AI for patents and an engineer who has already shipped the review gate.

Solve Intelligence is the AI platform for the patent industry, used by 700+ IP teams across six continents. The Patent Copilot spans invention harvesting, patent application drafting, prosecution and office-action responses, and claim charts — built by pairing AI researchers from UCL, Cambridge, Oxford and Imperial with US and European patent attorneys.

Why this company, specifically

Solve's whole product rests on a trust contract: an AI drafts, and a patent attorney has to be willing to sign it. Fauzul has already shipped that contract in production — a client publishing workflow where plain English becomes a reviewed pull request and nothing generated reaches the live artifact without a human approving the diff. Underneath it sits the rest of what a founding engineer here needs: multi-tenant RBAC identity built from an empty repo, a HIPAA EHR live with 64 doctors, a checkout serving 15,000+ users through to acquisition, and nine years of co-founding, hiring and setting the culture of a 22-person engineering firm. He names the ramps himself — house idiom in a large Python codebase, and the editor libraries specifically — and closes both from higher ground, orchestrating agentically inside guardrails nine years of production judgment supplies.

Their mission

Put AI in the hands of patent professionals so high-quality IP is faster and cheaper to secure — with confidentiality strong enough that unpublished invention disclosures can live on the platform.

What they ship

Invention harvesting (disclosure forms and submission management), patent application drafting with a customisable AI drafting style, patent prosecution and office-action responses with multi-source citations, and claim charts (invalidity, SEP, freedom-to-operate).
