BigGeo is hiring a Head of Engineering to own the day-to-day of a high-output team — keeping engineers unblocked, standards automatic and velocity predictable while staying close to the code. That is the seat Fauzul has held for a decade: he co-founded ELO, grew it into a 22-person, cross-functional studio spanning design, engineering, QA, product and business, went Engineering Manager → CIO, and cut time-to-market 4× by making CI/CD and code review non-negotiable, coaching engineers whose alumni now lead teams in Norway. AI is already embedded in how he leads engineering — daily Claude-led development, two Anthropic Claude certifications, and a Claude-powered CMS at Global Jute that ships plain-English requests to production through the pipeline — which lands precisely as BigGeo brings Claude into the Spatial Cloud. The honest ramps are deep geospatial domain (bridged by real d3-geo/topojson map delivery) and VC Series A→B cadence (bridged by bootstrapped scaling into that 22-person studio); he's relocating to Vancouver for the hybrid cadence.
